Dr. Marc Dinkin and Dr. Julie Gold bought a six-bedroom, 4.5-bath home at 20 Aspen Road in Scarsdale from Thomas and Jane Yankou for $1.28 million on Sept. 17.

The 3,516-square-foot house was built in 1957 in the Scarsdale South neighborhood.

Dr. Dinkin is assistant professor of ophthalmology at Cornell Medical School's N.Y. Presbyterian Hospital.

Previously, he was a neurology instructor and associate clerkship director at Harvard Medical School, and a neuro-ophthalmologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Before that, he was a physics, anatomy and physiology teacher at Packer Collegiate in Brooklyn, and an education software developer at Mpen. He also is a singer and songwriter for the rock band Youngster in New York, and a children's songwriter.

He received his M.D. from the Weill Medical College of Cornell University and his B.S. in biology from Harvard College. He finished his residency in neurology at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell, and his fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology from the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Dr. Gold is an internist who specializes in hematology and oncology at Mount Kisco Medical Group P.C.

She received her M.D in 2002 from Weill Medical College and her B.A. from Yale University. She completed her internship in 2003 and residency in 2005 at New York Presbyterian Hospital's Cornell campus, and completed her fellowship at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham, and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital in 2009.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 127 home sales in Scarsdale during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $1.0875 million.
