Ms. Lesser is a clinical social worker providing psychotherapy and counseling services.

She previously was a councilor at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She is the chairperson for the Kristen Ann Carr Fund, which supports programs to benefit cancer patients and sarcoma research.

She received her graduate degree from the New York University School of Social Work and the Training Institute for Mental Health, and completed her post-graduate training at the Institute for Research and Self Psychology.

Mr. Lesser is an account manager in New York for WorldCom, the telecommunications company.

He attended the State University College at Plattsburgh.
